There are many types of component placement machines (also known as pick and place machines) available on the market for placing components as accurately and quickly as possible.
The component placement process consists of picking each component in step from a feeder using a nozzle and transporting to the programmed position. Each brand of placement machines has its own format for programs, but they all contain the same information: part numbers, circuit board reference position, rotation, package information and X/Y position.
