Hanwha Techwin Automation Americas received a 2021 CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY NPI Award forf Component Placement systems – High-Speed with new Decan S1. This award was announced during a special online awards ceremony on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
The Decan S1 is highest performance among mounters in its class and next-generation chip mounter accommodates PCBs up to 510 x 510mm. With option machine able to produce PCBs up to 1,500mm(L) x 460mm(W) in size. It provides the optimal productivity for batch production and improving actual productivity with placement quality and reducing loss rates.
Decan S1 with a placement speed around 47,000 Cph and accuracy of ±28μm microns improves the placement speed of odd-shape components by 25 percent. Also the system improves the simultaneous pick-up rate by arranging pocket positions automatically through communication system between the machine and feeders.
The competitively priced Decan S1 features as a closed-loop process that makes the machine system the industry’s most competitive price-to-performance and mid-speed mounter for NPI and volume production applications. The system maintains placement accuracy by performing automatic calibration algorithm during production. Nozzle center recognition system improves pick-and-place reliability of smaller parts such as 03015.
